Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC fighter and previous UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's fight sport career started out with her debut as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and later defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007, with a bronze award in 2008. She also won a gold in 2011, and then was named the 2017 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 along with the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via the unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took victory by TKO after the first round. She went on to win her two subsequent fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing and was able to make her return in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in unanimity. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. After this win, Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina received the UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko defeated Kim by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the evening bonus in the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the following three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
