Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th in 1991. She is an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016, and she was able to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox has been uploading her music since 2012, with the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, she dropped additional music on the internet including Bound. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as on Sweat It Out on July 21, 2015. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to collaborate in conjunction with Rihanna. The announcement that she would be signed to Dreamville Records was made on December 8th. Backseat was a track she sang alongside Cozz on the Revenge of the Dreamers II collaboration album. On October 21, 2016 her debut EP was released titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and also performed as the opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. The singer also performed in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video came out on the 5th. Then, on the 9th of November, she released another two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Two singles more were released by her on November 13, titled Pedigree and No One. She then appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album of the same name. In February of 2019, a music clip was made available for the track. The track has received more than 3 million hits on YouTube within the initial week. She was one of the support acts for 6LACK in the From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.

Andrea Mitchell is an American television journalist anchor and commentator for NBC News based in Washington D.C. Growing up living in New York City, Mitchell earned a BA in English literature from The University of Pennsylvania. In the year 1967, Mitchell became a reporter for KYW Radio and TV in Philadelphia.
